Situation:
Power Trip Beverages, Inc. is a relatively new and growing force in the very hot energy drink market. Power Trip Beverages was founded by a beverage veteran, Doug Stuart, in April 2005. Stuart identified an opportunity in the energy drink market for a great-tasting drink in a retailer and consumer friendly “vendible” can.  Working with one of the leading flavor development companies in the world, WILD Flavors, Doug created a unique energy drink – Power Trip Extreme. 

Upon developing a great product and package, Power Trip hired TEAM Marketing to develop and execute a complete marketing plan to launch Power Trip Extreme Energy Drink into the market and help build the brand.

TEAM Marketing has developed a strategic and creative marketing plan that is designed to gain distributors, build brand distribution and drive product sales, while building a loyal customer base. The marketing plan is designed to address the needs of Power Trip utilizing a 360 degree integrated marketing approach to penetrate the market with one unified message throughout all outlets. 

Power Trip Beverage and TEAM Marketing are initially executing the marketing plan in four key markets and will expand to additional markets as funds and distributor participation allows.

Since its launch in early 2005, Power Trip Extreme has obtained some notable successes in distribution and market penetration: 

* Distributed by 29 distributors nationally and 2 internationally

* Key distributors in the Anheuser Busch, Coca-Cola and Dr Pepper networks

* Distribution in Wegman’s Supermarket, Food 4 Less, Tuley Oil

* Expected sales of 3.2 million in 2006

* Power Trip Extreme has shown tremendous distributor and consumer acceptance
